Free Finance Calculators
These calculators cover the money questions that come up most often for people in India: what a loan costs each month, how a SIP or a lump sum grows, how much income tax is due under the New and the Old Regime, and what a salary turns into after deductions. Each one shows its working, a year-by-year or month-by-month table where that helps, and the formula it uses, so you can check it against your bank's or your employer's figures.
A small group covers the United States (a mortgage payment, a 401(k) projection, self-employment tax, federal tax brackets), and several are general: percentage, compound interest, discount, tip and bill-splitting calculators work in any currency. Results are estimates for planning. Rates, slabs and limits change, so confirm anything you are about to act on with your lender, your employer, the Income Tax Department or the IRS.

- Where should I start to compare the New and Old tax regimes?
- Use the Income Tax Calculator: it lets you run the same inputs under the New and the Old Regime and shows the slab-by-slab breakdown, so you can see the difference instead of guessing it. Which regime comes out lower depends on how much you can claim in deductions and exemptions, which is why the HRA calculator and the take-home salary calculator are worth running alongside it.
- Are the interest rates in the savings-scheme calculators current?
- Rates for government schemes such as PPF, NSC, SCSS, Sukanya Samriddhi and the Post Office Monthly Income Scheme are set by the Government of India and reviewed every quarter. Each calculator names the rate it uses. Compare it with the latest notification before relying on a result, because a changed rate changes the maturity value.
- Should I prepay a loan or invest the money?
- A prepayment saves interest at the loan's rate, which is certain. An investment return is a projection and can fall short. The Loan Prepayment Calculator shows what a prepayment saves, and the SIP, lumpsum and XIRR calculators show what an investment might earn at a return you choose. Put the two side by side. No calculator can tell you the return you will actually get.
- After a prepayment, should I reduce the EMI or the tenure?
- If the EMI stays the same and the loan ends sooner, you pay interest for fewer months, so the interest saved is usually larger. If you keep the tenure and lower the EMI, your monthly burden falls but you carry the loan for longer. The Loan Prepayment Calculator compares both on your numbers.
- Is my salary or loan information stored?
- No. The figures you enter are used in your browser to produce the result and are not sent to Stax or saved. There are no accounts, so there is nothing to log in to or to delete.
