Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 30, 2026

Stax ("we", "us", or "our") operates https://stax.tools. This page explains what data we collect, what we don't collect, and how the site is built to protect your privacy by default.

The short version

Data we don't collect

AI features (when applicable)

Some tools offer optional AI-assisted features (e.g. "Explain this regex"). When you click an AI button, the relevant input is sent to a third-party AI provider (OpenAI) for processing. Inputs are truncated to 15,000 characters and are not stored on our servers beyond a short-lived cache used to speed up identical requests. AI features are always opt-in — you have to click a button to trigger them.

Advertising

Free tools may display ads from third-party networks (such as Google AdSense or Carbon Ads) to fund the site. Ad networks may set their own cookies. You can use ad blockers without restriction. Pro users (when Pro launches) see no ads.

Your rights

Because we don't collect personal data tied to an account, there is nothing to delete or export. You can clear your browser cookies at any time to reset analytics consent.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves (for example, when accounts and Pro features launch). The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change.
