- How is a WhatsApp click-to-chat link written?
- It has the form https://wa.me/ followed by the full phone number with the country code and no plus sign, spaces or dashes, and, optionally, ?text= followed by the URL-encoded message. The link generator writes it for you, so you only need to enter the number and the message.
- Do I need WhatsApp Business to use a chat link or button?
- No. A click-to-chat link opens a conversation with whichever WhatsApp number it contains, and that can be a personal or a Business account. Business accounts add features such as catalogues and quick replies, but the link works the same way.
- How do I format text in a WhatsApp message?
- WhatsApp reads asterisks for bold, underscores for italics, tildes for strikethrough and three backticks for monospace. The message formatter applies these for you and shows a live preview of how the chat will look.
- Can I put the button on my own website?
