How each image is fitted
Rules this tool checks against (LINE's pages, read 15 October 2026)
  • Static sticker: PNG, at most 370 × 320 px, even width and height, 1 MB or less each, transparent background.
  • Main image 240 × 240 px and tab image 96 × 74 px.
  • Animated sticker: APNG, at most 320 × 270 px, 5 to 20 frames, up to 4 loops, at most 4 seconds in all, 1 MB or less each.
  • A ZIP of all the images: 60 MB or smaller.
  • Number of stickers in a set: 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 for static stickers (check the current rule on LINE's page); the animated page lists 8, 16 or 24.

These values are also read from LINE's pages but are not in this site's shared rule list yet, so you can change them here:

This tool prepares files to the published technical rules. LINE reviews every submission itself, and passing every check here does not mean LINE will approve a set. This site is not made by, connected to or endorsed by LINE.

Get your sticker files ready for LINE Creators Market

LINE asks for sticker files in exact sizes and formats: a transparent PNG no bigger than 370 x 320 pixels for a still sticker, an APNG for an animated one, a main image, a tab image and, if you upload everything together, a ZIP. This tool fits your own artwork to those rules in your browser, shows every file with its size and a pass or fail for each rule it checks, and gives you the ZIP. Your files are not uploaded; only the FFmpeg engine used for animations is downloaded once. It does not draw artwork, and apart from fitting it, trimming empty space and clearing a plain background it does not change it. It does not submit anything to LINE. This site is not made by, connected to or endorsed by LINE.

What LINE's own pages say (read 15 October 2026)

The English sticker page and its Japanese version both give a still sticker as a PNG of at most 370 x 320 pixels, 1 MB or less each, with an even width and height, a transparent background and a margin of around 10 pixels between the trimmed image and the content around it. The main image is 240 x 240 and the tab image 96 x 74 (the page calls it the chat thumbnail icon), each 1 MB or less. A ZIP of all the images must be 60 MB or smaller. The two sticker pages list sets of 8, 16, 24, 32, 40 stickers. The animated-sticker page, in English and in Japanese, lists sets of 8, 16, 24, an APNG of at most 320 x 270 pixels with one side at least 270, 5 to 20 frames, 1 to 4 loops and 4 seconds at most, 1 MB or less each. The message-sticker page (English and Japanese), for stickers where the user types the text, also lists sets of 8, 16, 24, so that figure belongs to message and animated stickers, not to the ordinary sticker page. LINE can change these pages, so check them before you submit.

What the tool does to a still sticker

Each image you add is scaled down to fit inside 370 x 320 pixels with the margin you set, and the picture is written as an RGB PNG with an alpha channel and a resolution tag. The canvas is only as large as the drawing plus its margin, rounded up to an even number, so a small drawing gives a small file. Trimming of empty transparent space is on by default and can be switched off; enlarging small artwork is off by default because it makes pictures blurry, and can be switched on. A plain background touching the corners can be cleared with a colour tolerance; shaded backgrounds and photos need a proper cut-out in an editor first. The main image and the tab image are made from the sticker you choose, centred on a transparent 240 x 240 and 96 x 74 canvas.

What the tool does to an animated sticker

Add a GIF or a short video and choose where it starts, how long one play lasts, how many frames it has and how many times it plays. The tool checks your choice against the limits above before it starts: 5 to 20 frames, 1 to 4 plays, and the length times the plays within 4 seconds. FFmpeg then writes an APNG sized to fit inside 320 x 270 (a smaller picture is enlarged to fit, and no margin is added), with the frame rate worked out from your frames and length. A video has no transparency, so you can pick a background colour to clear from every frame. If the full-colour file is over 1 MB, the tool tries a 256-colour version, then fewer frames, and tells you which it used. The main image is an APNG of 240 x 240, and the tab image is a single frame of 96 x 74.

How the checks work, and what they cannot see

Every pass or fail is measured on the finished file, not on your settings: the size and the loop count are read from the PNG and APNG headers, the file size is the real byte count, and the margin and transparency are measured on the pixels. The transparency check looks at the four corners of the drawing's bounding box: a picture with no transparent pixel at all, such as a JPG, fails, a drawing whose four corners are see-through passes, and a drawing with solid corners, such as a rectangle on a transparent canvas, is marked "check", because it may be right or may sit on a background. The check that frames differ compares the stored frame data, so it catches an animation whose frames are all the same. A pass means the file meets the published technical rule; it says nothing about the content, the drawing quality or whether LINE will accept the set. A 256-colour file is marked "check" rather than pass, because LINE asks for RGB colour.

The ZIP and the file names

The ZIP holds the stickers as 01.png, 02.png and so on, plus main.png and tab.png, and its size is shown against LINE's 60 MB limit. LINE's guideline pages do not state a naming rule, so if the upload screen asks for different names, rename the files. The number of stickers is compared with the set sizes above and the tool tells you how many to add or remove. You can still download a ZIP of a set that is not yet a full size. Make the title, the description and the other details of the submission in LINE Creators Market itself. Use the image cropper to cut a picture down before you start, and the ZIP tool for any other archive.

Frequently asked questions

What size does a LINE sticker have to be?
According to LINE's sticker page, a sticker image is a PNG of at most 370 x 320 pixels with an even width and height, 1 MB or less, on a transparent background. The main image is 240 x 240 and the tab image 96 x 74 (LINE's page calls it the chat thumbnail icon). This tool fits each of your images to those limits and shows a pass or fail for each rule it checks.
How many stickers can a LINE set have?
LINE's English and Japanese sticker pages list sets of 8, 16, 24, 32, 40. Its animated-sticker pages list sets of 8, 16, 24, and so does the page for message stickers, so a set of only 8, 16 or 24 is the rule for those kinds, not for ordinary stickers. You choose the number in LINE's creator pages, so check them before you submit. This tool compares your count with these sizes and says how many to add or drop.
How do I make an animated LINE sticker from a GIF?
Switch to animated stickers, add the GIF or video, choose the start, the length, the frames and the plays, and press Make APNG files. The result is an APNG within 320 x 270 pixels and 5 to 20 frames, with each rule the tool checks measured on the finished file. A video has no transparency, so pick a background colour to clear; whether the finished file is transparent is measured and shown with the other checks.
Why does the tool say my animated sticker plays too long?
LINE's page allows 1 to 4 loops with the combined length at most 4 seconds. This tool reads that as the length of one play times the number of plays, so 2 seconds played twice is 4 seconds and passes, while 3 seconds played twice is 6 and fails. Shorten the length or play it fewer times.
Why does it add empty space around my still sticker?
For still stickers, LINE's page asks for a margin of around 10 pixels between the trimmed image and the content around it. The tool adds that margin (you can change the number if LINE changes the rule) and checks it again on the finished file by measuring the free space on each side. It adds no margin to animated stickers.
Can this tool remove the background of a photo?
Only a plain one. It clears the colour that touches the corners of the picture, within a tolerance you set, and leaves the same colour alone where it is not connected to a corner. A photo or a shaded background will not come out cleanly, so cut those out in an image editor first and bring the transparent PNG here.
Will LINE approve my stickers if every check passes?
Not necessarily. LINE reviews every submission itself, and this tool only prepares files to the published technical rules: sizes, formats, frame and loop limits, file size and the ZIP. It cannot judge content, quality or anything else a reviewer looks at, and it is not connected to LINE.
Are my images uploaded, and is it free?
Your images are not uploaded. Still stickers are made with your browser's own canvas, and animations are made with a WebAssembly build of FFmpeg that is downloaded once and runs on your device. It is free, with no watermark and no account. This site is not affiliated with LINE.
