Terms of Service
Last updated: May 13, 2026
Welcome to Stax ("Stax", "we", "us", or "our"), operated at https://stax.tools. By accessing or using any part of this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, please do not use the site.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
1. Description of service
Stax Tools provides a collection of free, browser-based utility tools including (but not limited to) financial calculators, developer utilities, PDF tools, image tools, and writing aids. All tool processing runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript — your input data is never transmitted to our servers unless a feature explicitly states otherwise (for example, opt-in AI features that call a third-party AI API).
We offer the tools "as-is" at no charge. We may introduce paid Pro features in the future; those will be governed by separate subscription terms communicated at the time of purchase.
2. Permitted use
You may use Stax Tools for personal, educational, or commercial purposes, provided you do not:
- Attempt to scrape, mirror, or systematically download the site's content or tools at scale without our written permission.
- Use automated bots or scripts to access the site in a manner that places unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the site to extract proprietary code or trade secrets.
- Use the site to process or distribute unlawful, harmful, or infringing content.
- Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with security-related features of the site.
- Impersonate Stax Tools, its founder, or any other person or entity in connection with use of the site.
We reserve the right to block access to any user or IP address that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe is abusing the service.
3. Intellectual property
All content on https://stax.tools — including but not limited to the site design, tool interfaces, blog articles, logos, and marketing copy — is owned by or licensed to Stax Tools and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
Your data: Any content you enter into a tool (JSON, text, files, numbers, etc.) remains yours. Because all processing is client-side, we never obtain possession of your input and make no claim to it.
Open-source components: Stax Tools uses open-source libraries (e.g. pdf-lib, marked, Tailwind CSS). Each is used in accordance with its respective licence. We will open-source core utilities over time; any open-sourced code will be separately governed by the licence file included with that code.
4. Disclaimers
The tools are provided for informational and convenience purposes only. They do not constitute professional financial, legal, medical, engineering, or other regulated advice.
- Financial calculators: Results (EMI, SIP returns, income tax estimates, etc.) are illustrative. They are based on the inputs you provide and standard formulae. Always verify important financial decisions with a qualified financial adviser or CA. Tax calculations are based on Indian tax rules as known at the time of publication and may not reflect recent legislative changes.
- Health calculators: BMI, calorie, body-fat, and similar results are general estimates and are not a substitute for medical advice. Consult a healthcare professional before making decisions based on these figures.
- Developer tools: Code and data transformations (JSON formatting, regex testing, hash generation, etc.) are provided without warranty of fitness for any particular purpose. Verify critical output before use in production systems.
- AI-assisted features: Output generated by AI (e.g. "Explain this regex", writing suggestions) may contain errors or inaccuracies. Do not rely on AI output without independent verification.
THE SITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Stax Tools and its founder shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses — arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the site or its tools, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the site shall not exceed INR 100 (one hundred Indian rupees), regardless of the form of action.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability. In such jurisdictions, the above limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
6. Third-party services and advertising
Stax Tools displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. These ads are governed by Google's policies and may use cookies as described in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements.
The site also uses Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity (session analytics), and Vercel (hosting and performance analytics). We may embed content or links from third-party services. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of those external services.
AI features optionally call the OpenAI API. Your input for those features is subject to OpenAI's usage policies in addition to these Terms.
7. Privacy
Your use of the site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please read it to understand our data practices.
8. Copyright and DMCA

9. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms as the site evolves (for example, when accounts and Pro features launch). We will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, post a notice on the site. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
